Kylian Mbappé Lottin, born on December 20, 1998, in Paris, France, is widely regarded as one of the most talented and exciting footballers of his generation. Standing at 1.78 meters (5 feet 10 inches) tall, Mbappé’s career is marked by his incredible speed, dribbling skills, and goal-scoring prowess.

Mbappé began his football journey at AS Bondy, a local club in the Paris suburbs, where his father was a coach. His prodigious talent quickly caught the attention of scouts, and in 2013, he joined the youth academy of AS Monaco. Mbappé made his professional debut for Monaco on December 2, 2015, at the age of 16, becoming the youngest first-team player in the club’s history. During the 2016-2017 season, he played a crucial role in helping Monaco win the Ligue 1 title, scoring 15 goals in 29 league appearances.

In 2017, Mbappé made a high-profile move to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) on an initial loan deal, which was made permanent in 2018 for a fee of €180 million, making him the second-most expensive player in history. At PSG, Mbappé continued to shine, winning four Ligue 1 titles, three Coupe de France titles, and two Coupe de la Ligue titles. He also helped PSG reach their first-ever UEFA Champions League final in 2020. During his time at PSG, Mbappé scored 162 goals in 178 appearances, becoming the club’s all-time top scorer.

In 2024, after years of speculation, Mbappé joined Real Madrid on a free transfer. His debut season with Real Madrid has been nothing short of spectacular, as he has already scored 17 goals in 24 La Liga matches and seven goals in 10 UEFA Champions League appearances. Mbappé’s ability to score and create goals has made him an indispensable part of the team.

On the international stage, Mbappé made his senior debut for the French national team in 2017, at the age of 18. He played a pivotal role in France’s 2018 FIFA World Cup victory, scoring four goals in the tournament, including one in the final against Croatia. Mbappé became the second teenager, after Pelé, to score in a World Cup final. He was awarded the FIFA World Cup Best Young Player and the French Player of the Year awards for his performances. In the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Mbappé won the Golden Boot as the tournament’s top scorer and set the record for the most goals scored in World Cup final matches by scoring a hat-trick against Argentina.

Throughout his career, Mbappé has received numerous individual awards and honors. He has been named the Ligue 1 Player of the Year three times and has been included in the UEFA Team of the Year and the FIFPro World XI multiple times. His career statistics are impressive, with over 341 goals and 116 assists in 462 club appearances.
